2024 Geelong Classic Racquetball Tournament

Published Thu 04 Jul 2024

The Geelong Classic was held at the Leisuretime Centre, Norlane on 22nd  – 23rd June. Numbers were slightly down on last years entries with 47 singles and 46 doubles players entered.  But that did not stop the tournament from being hugely successful. Big thanks to Tournament Directors Elisha and Adam Lander and their committee for all the hard work they put into the weekend and the pre-work leading up to it. The weather was very kind to us with nice sunny days and absence of wet walls, so playing conditions were good which made for some good racquetball matches

The Men’s Open was won by champ Cam White over Steve Andrewartha with Cam proving to be too strong for Steve. Unfortunately, we had no Women’s Open entries.  The Open Doubles was won for the second time in a row by Leon Faustini and Troy Anwyl beating Darren O’Donnell and Mark Edgley in two close games.

On the Saturday night, over 40 players and friends had a great social night at the Phoenix Hotel in Geelong city.  Great to see so many attend, food was good and company even better!
